TLS.NET Website Development Launches EcO15 Website Presence
TLS.NET is proud to announce the launch of a new website for Economic Opportunities through Education by 2015 (EcO15).
The main focus of EcO15 is to change the face of manufacturing and meet the workforce needs of today’s manufacturers. Advanced Manufacturing is a value-added combination of people, processes, and products, which remains competitive in a high-wage environment in the pursuit of continuous improvement.
EcO15 has set out to increase enrollment in Advanced Manufacturing, Healthcare, and Tourism Programs; increase enrollment in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) courses; increase graduation rates; increase job placements; increase awareness of career opportunities and increase residents’ income levels.
TLS.NET is honored to be a part of such a bold initiative to change Southeast Indiana in such a positive way. The website has helped propel the exposure of the program to the national level. EcO15 has paved the way for other initiatives all over the country, and it is the model to which other programs aspire.
TLS.NET utilized various technologies to develop this site such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL and PHP. SWISH Max2 was used for the sound effects and navigation, and the image gallery on the homepage was designed in Flash. We implemented features such as a client managed flash image gallery, events calendar and news center to give EcO15 the ability to manage frequently changing pages of their site with the click of a button. TLS.NET Advanced Search Engine Optimization was also integrated throughout the site for increasing search engine rankings and monitoring traffic to the website.
